The victory leaves Nigeria second in Group L, behind Guinea-Bissau on goal difference.
Guinea-Bissau defeated Tanzania 2-0 in their opening fixture, with Franculino Djú opening the scoring in the 33rd minute before Mama Baldé added the second in the 58th minute.
The Super Eagles will face Guinea-Bissau away on Tuesday, September 29, in their next qualifying fixture.
